The Centres for Voluntary Work Information and Services (CSV) were established by the Framework Law on Voluntary Work 266/91 to support voluntary work activities; they are managed by voluntary work associations and funded by bank foundations (in Lombardy: Cariplo, Banca del Monte di Lombardia, Monte dei Paschi di Siena). All the services are usually free for voluntary work associations which are enrolled at the provincial and regional section of the Regional Register of Voluntary work. The services are available also for other subjects of the Third Sector, Public Institutions and No Profit Associations.
CSV offers the following services:
1. Promotion of voluntary work
* Relationships with the territory
* Public initiatives and events to present voluntary work associations
* Voluntary work guidance
* School – voluntary work helpdesks
* National Civil Service initiatives
* European initiatives
* Assistance for the associations
2. Advisory and assistance service
C.I.S.Vol. runs various helpdesks in the territory and it provides free services for voluntary work associations:
* Legal advisory service
* Accounting and fiscal advisory service
* Insurance advisory service
* Labour advisory service
* Projects’ financing advisory service
* Funds’-raising advisory service
3. Training:
C.I.S.Vol. organizes training for:
* organization of training courses
* organization of conferences, seminars and debates
* speeches for courses and conferences organized by other institutions
* cooperation for training centres
for volunteers, managers, members of Voluntary Work Associations and other institutions of the third sector.
The courses are focused on general themes about organization and management of no-profit associations (IT, taxes, accounting for funds’ raising, social projects’ financing...) and on specific subjects concerning the activities of associations (social assistance/health, civil/cultural, environment/civil protection).
4. Information, documentation and databases:
* Publication of the magazine "Pages of Cremona Voluntary Work"
* Publication of handouts and manuals
* Website https://www.csvlombardia.it/cremona
* Cooperation with press, radio and local televisions
* Publication of news coming from the associations
* Specialized library
* Database on the third sector
At C.I.S.Vol. you can:
* find help to start up new voluntary work associations
* understand if you can be acrredited to the Regional Register of Voluntary Work or to other Registers
The courses are organized also in cooperation with other associations, local institutions and social cooperatives.
